Something don't seem right......

Everybody feels it.
Maybe the world has tilted off its axis.
Maybe time changed last week instead of this weekend and nobody notified us.
Something ain't right.
Nobody can explain it.
It just does not seem like race week in Atlanta.
It's not 30 degrees with a thirty mile an hour wind blowin in your face.
It's not raining.
In fact, it was 76 degrees at the end of today's truck race with only a slight breeze and not a cloud in the sky.
To make matters worse, the fastest truck didn't win.

It was just a boring race.
Very little action.
A couple of phantom cautions.
And not enough race fans to keep me entertained.

Even the stoopid duck got bored and left the premises.

The Jeff Gordon bus looked a little bored, too.

This early model Dale Earnhardt Wrangler bus was parked directly in front of the Jeff Gordon bus, and it seemed that they didn't even notice each other.

Finally, things started looking up.......get it? Looking up. As up in the sky where the airplanes are pulling the banners. This one got my attention. After a short discussion, we decided that the Cheetah Lounge(a local strip club....er gentleman's club) would only except ticket stubs and not race credentials.

Finally a real caution happened when Jack Rousch driver Colin Braun turned ex motocross/supercross superstar turned truck driver Ricky Carmichael. When he spun, he was collected by Dennis Setzer who got the worse end of the deal. Everyone else continued to race.

I've always hated to see some tow-up race cars, but it's a sure fire way to make money at a boring race. Here Colin Braun hits hard into the wall on the backstretch.

After a hard hit, Colin Braun is helped from his truck by track safety personel.

This is a close-up of Colin Braun's truck as it was towed by the tower where I was shooting today's race.

And everyone knows that you have to clean up after the party's over.

See.........not much happened today because something ain't right.
I can't put my thumb on it, and it could be the sum of a lot of little things.
I just hope it don't snow on Labor Day weekend when we get back here for the next race.
